I couldn't wait to review this toy because I've never had such an opinion on a purchase before. Santa brought this to my 8 year old and she has loved it. It goes everywhere with her and provides lots of entertainment. BUT......I just can't wait for it to break or get lost because the content of it is so disappointing. The characters speak rudely, there is too much focus on appearance (including very skimpy clothing) and especially on dating and breaking up. My daughter doesn't understand why the game's mom and dad are mad all the time, why she is grounded, and why there is so much breaking up and going out. It is a toy marketed for her age, but definitely much more grown up in content, and not the kind of teen I want her to grow up to be! So, if you are just looking for a fun toy and don't care about emphasizing morals or values, then this is the toy for you!

The My Life Game is really fun. People say that it blinks and turns off but that just means that the batteries are low. It is a little bit hard for kids under the age of 8 because I let my little sisters try and they couldn't do it. It is a bit mature, though, because you have multiple boyfriends! The instructions booklet is vague and it took a while to figure things out like where the pink scooter is. (FYI it is parked right outside of your house. To go outside you walk through the door in the living room).At school you play 4 mini games which can actually be fun! You get school credit for playing them. The booklet didn't say that there was an upstairs to the school. I figured that out my missing the door as I was leaving the building. (You get to the upstairs by walking into the wall on the right side of the door).It is cool to manage your own money and hygiene needs and hunger needs. Although it is frustrating when you get stuck at the doctors! The parents in the game are strict and have rules just like regular parents. They give you allowance if you do good in school and come home when your supposed too. They pay you between 250 and 500 dollars. The bedroom comes all girly and pink, and I think you should be able to choose the color of it.All in all, it is a fun and awesome game that at times may be a little hard to figure out. Some people think it is a waste of time and money. I don't agree. It IS worth your time and money!

I got this gift from Santa, and I have been looking for the batteries until last night. I discovered how much fun it is! I created a girl and played. It's fun to go everywhere on your motorcycle! I highly recommend this toy for people 9 and up.
